Continuing With The Story Of My Adventures And Scheming For This Month…

In the previous blog post, Case Study: Miami Part 1, I traveled to Miami to do research for my next project and announced that I’m allowing 10 people to apply here to work with me directly. There were 3 a.m. mastermind sessions, stayed in 4 star hotels overlooking the ocean, and to top it all off I saw my name on the Empower Network competition leader board in the top 30 producers out of more than 38,000 people… while on vacation… Not Bad! :-)

After seeing my name on the leader boards while being on vacation, I stopped doing the “It’s your birthday” dance in the middle of the street and decided we needed to tell a few people. After all, we are internet marketers so we can play anywhere we want to and get paid to do it.

So we headed back to the hotel to type up an email and schedule a live stream to happen in a few days which was streamed into cowgirlandscott.com/live. It should still be there if you want to see it. When I opened up my computer and downloaded my email for the first time that day… more commissions rolling in.. woohooo… dancing again LOL…

Now it’s definitely time to celebrate… after all, Miami Beach is about letting loose, having a good time and enjoying life. So we headed out for a night on the town, which actually happened almost every night in Miami, LOL. We stopped off at a really cool place that had a live singer and dancer.

We thought we got a really good deal on 2 for 1 margaritas until we got the bill… welcome to Miami Beach :-)

If you ever come to Miami Beach, just prepare for it a head of time. Everything is highly over priced on the main strip. Fortunately there is a Walgreens a few blocks away so you’re not blowing you wad on food and drinks all the time. Another really cool perk of staying at the Chesterfield is happy hour every night from 7 to 8pm.

After that we decided to call it a night and take our second margarita to go (yes, to go lol) and head back to the room for a little late night scheming. The next morning we planned to go visit one of the other hotel locations that had an awesome roof deck we could sit and chill at.

On the way over I checked my email from my phone and BOOM… more commissions. I guess it’s time to celebrate again so lunch was on me. You know, now that I think of it, the whole week breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks were on me, LOL. I guess the old saying is true, you get back what you give. So I finally calculated all the commissions I made after lunch and it came to almost $4,000… in 2 days while being on vacation (video proof)

After a few hours there we decided to do a little shopping since we saw some funny T-Shirts in a window while we walked around. I found one that was awesome and I couldn’t resist it. After all, I am the Internet’s Sexiest Marketer so it would only be fitting that I had a T-Shirt right?

We got back to our hotel just in time to get ready for the “Internet Marketing Secrets, Live in Miami Beach” live stream with cowgirlandscott.

These trips were a ton of fun and it was so liberating to live life on my terms, on my time frame.

To do whatever I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do it. True freedom baby!

It just goes to show that when you make a decision, take massive action, be consistent and never stop until you reach your goals, that you can live the life of your dreams.

Continuing With The Story Of My Adventures And Scheming For This Month…

In the previous blog post, Case Study: Texas Part 2, you saw a quick glance at a new project I’m working on with Cynthia the Social Cowgirl at cowgirlandscott.com. Then we spent some time in an exclusive resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas recording videos and taking pictures. Then of course checking my email and seeing commissions pour in and this time I recorded it. :-)

So here I am spending weeks away from home, in a places I’ve never been before, experiencing a side of life I’ve never seen and I was getting commission notifications in my emails every single day. If I can do this, anyone can :-)

Now a week later, I flew across the country to spend a week in Miami…

I met up with Cynthia and a bunch of other top income earners to attend a huge conference. I needed to do some in-depth research for an upcoming project and there is no better way than going to a conference and experiencing the culture first hand.

I haven’t set a date for when I’m going to launch this new venture but I decided to allow anyone the chance to be one of the chosen 10 people to work with me directly by filling out this application.

The first part of our stay in Miami was at a really nice 4 star hotel overlooking the ocean for 3 days while I was doing my research.

If you’ve never been to a a conference before, it gets pretty nuts. You’ve got thousands of people from around the country, all attending one function, you can just imagine what it’s like trying to go get a bite to eat, LOL.

And when everyone else peters out and goes to bed, the badasses stay up and the magic happens at 3 A.M. This is when million dollar ideas are fostered and you’re sketching something out on a cocktail napkin so you can be sure to remember it when you get back home. It’s during these times when relationships are built upon that can produce countless victories and withstand any challenges or obstacles that may come.

After a few days of research and masterminding with 2 and 3 hours naps at night for sleep, we headed over to the next location for a nice break… Miami Beach. If you’re ever going to be in Miami Beach, I highly recommend staying at the one of the South Beach Group locations.

As you can see from the picture, they’ve got a sense of humor and they’re all down to earth and totally fun. The coolest thing about this chain is that you can stay at one and bounce to each different location for different experiences.

We stayed at a South Beach Group location called the Chesterfield and I would definitely stay there again. The layout of the rooms, the staff, the service and everything was amazing. They really want to make sure you have a good time and that you come back over and over.

We hit the beach a few times but it was so hot that you could only stay out there for a few hours. While we were heading back to grab a bite to eat, I decided to checked where I was at on the Empower Network leader boards for a competition we are having.

So I whipped out my iphone and logged in to see this…. Haha… on vacation in Miami Beach and I’m ranking number 26 out of more than 38,000 affiliates. Not to bad :-)

That’s what I love about having an online marketing business that is completely dialed in with a done of for you system. Once people get into our team in the Empower Network, they experience the culture that we’ve built within our team site, the trainings that are done by the seasoned and upcoming leaders, the togetherness of one unified force all helping each other and the advanced marketing strategies we teach… it’s magical. No wonder I can take a vacation for weeks at a time and hardly ever get a phone call or emails to respond to. It’s all dialed in and usually if people have a question, they just look into the forums we have and can find their answers there.

What can I say… WE’VE GOT A BADASS TEAM!!!

We’ve got both seasoned and upcoming leaders that blow me away with what they can do.

Guys like Jim McGilvary who built our entire team site, Kevin Cron who just made the leader boards for the first time and climbing every time I check it, Kim West who has the strength of character that astounds me. She has been battling many serious health challenges for the past 8 or 10 years and she’s never left her house during that time, but managed to fly out to Atlanta to be at the 1st Empower Network event. SHE AIN’T A WUSSY

Then you have guys like Eric (the Ninja Pirate) Jackson who hasn’t done anything online before and got on the first page of google within 4 days and got his first lead within his first week and first sign up within his first month. Aaron Cahoon who was flat broke, no confidence or power within him and two weeks later got ALL IN and bought all the Empower Network products and acting like the badass leader I knew he already was. Travis Perkins who I’ve witness go from being lost without any direction on what to do to being a confident business woman who could lead an army.

The list goes on and on and on…

I know all these people, I know all there stories, and I feel so honored and lucky to be surrounded by these people. They give me strength and courage to face some of the difficult challenges of leading a team and doing everything I can for them.

Continuing With The Story Of My Adventures And Scheming For This Month…

In the previous blog post, Case Study: Texas Part 1, we left off with me checking my email and seeing commissions pour in while I was laying out pool-side doing a little work.

The next stop on the tour was to travel back to Cynthia’s part of Texas for a photo shoot.

Yes a photo shoot for a project we’re working on that is going to rock the internet world. After we got to know each other, we realized that we both have unique skill sets that we use to build an online empire. So we figured if we did some cool stuff apart, imagine what we could cultivate for our teams if we joined forces.

That is one of the coolest things about what we do as entrepreneurs when you look at the grand scope of this industry. We are able to form partnerships with a mutual intent to benefit everyone and neither one of us benefit from each other. I don’t make any money from her and she doesn’t make any money from me. How cool is that.

Anyway… the photo shoot…

Well by now we’ve been putting in a lot of late night’s working on different ideas to help our teams more and now it was time to start bringing them to life.

Our first project is underway at cowgirlandscott.com and everything that we’re doing right now is super top secret. But we are doing several live streams and you can get on our notification list at any time you choose. You’ll receive updates from time to time as we provide some badass trainings, answer questions and well… you really never know what’s going to happen with us. hehehe.

The next day we wanted to cut some videos for our cowgirlandscott.com website. So we headed over to Horse Shoe Bay resort for some more “work”.

Yes… we did work…

We laid out by the pool, had a few drinks and soaked up some rays (I don’t get much sun in my area) and sat in this huge-ass hot tub with stalagmites coming out of it, took pictures and recorded videos. like this one.

Okay so we didn’t really do a lot of “work” so to speak, we were just cutting videos and having fun….

So it’s pretty damn cool when you can travel to an exotic type of resort like this, spend the entire day there goofing off eating good food and having a few drinks, being stupid in videos, posting blogs, creating emails for “work” anywhere in the world and be making money the entire time.

In all honesty, I did do some work. No really I did… After all, success at any level is all about taking consistent action.

So I got caught checking my email (refreshing commissions) and typing up an idea I had for a presentation.

When Was the Last Time You Got Paid On Vacation?

Before you answer… I’m not talking about a 2 weeks paid vacation that you get with your corporate job. I’m talking about 2 weeks off in a single month from your corporate job and making more money with your online business while you’re away.

Oh yeah and still take vacation pay at the same time… Might as well double dip right LOL.

This all started back when I went to the “Don’t Be A Wussy 2012” Empower Network event in Atlanta. If you haven’t seen what happened there, it was crazy! I’ve never experienced anything like it before. More than 1,200 people filled the room all chanting 100% commissions and huge ass checks being handed out on stage. Needless to say I can’t wait for the “Fight the Forces of Evil” event in San Diego, September 21-23. You’ll see what I mean when you get to the event. But it’s a members only affair so if your not in, just get in and get your tickets now before the price increases. Since I attended that event my income has doubled.

Dave Wood even brought me up on stage (click here) in front of everyone and asked me some questions since I make more now with Empower Network than I do at my day job working 40 hours per week for the last 10 years.

Anyway… during the event in Atlanta, I got a chance to meet I met a ton of 6 and 7 figure earners. I formed relationships during late night mastermind and scheming sessions, learned a ton and form several JV partnerships. One of the partnerships I formed was with Cynthia the Social Cowgirl. She is one badass woman who knows a ton of stuff about internet marketing, branding, coding websites and software programs and a list of accolades that would fill up the rest of this blog post.

Well Cynthia invited me down to Texas for a week of scheming and plotting to lead an amazing group of entrepreneurs across the world into the online promise land of freedom and abundant lives. I flew into San Antonio where we spent a few days there and I experienced what life was like in Texas.

We spent time at the River Walk and had an absolute blast. If you’ve never been to San Antonio and walked around the river walk, it’s something you must experience.

The night life in San Antonio gets really crazy. We didn’t go out and party like rockstars like I sometimes do, but I saw what kind of trouble you could get into if you really wanted to, LOL. So we played it low key, got some drinks at the store and had our own little pre-party. We didn’t bother getting a key to the fridge in the hotel room… we just improvised. LOL.

Next we went out for a small night on the town. We stopped in at Coyote Ugly and watched the girls dance on the bar and give body shots, then we cruised around on the river walk, had dinner at Dicks, drank Margarita’s and walked out with dunce caps, LOL.

If you have never been to Dicks before, it’s hilarious. They have one menu and it’s on the ceiling, when they set the table the just throw it out in the middle of the table, when they serve water they put it at one end of the table and tell you to pass it down.

Then they constantly crack jokes at your expense so you’ve got to go with the right attitude or you’ll get really ticked off. If you’re pretty quick witted you can start talking smack back to them, but they get paid to do it and you don’t so there pretty good. And just because you leave the room and come back, you can’t call that a “come back” LOL. Of course it’s all part of the show, kind of like a good old fashioned “roast”.

The next day we were out on the river walk again and decided to go have lunch at Joe’s Crab shack.

I’ve always been a seafood guy so this was awesome. Here’s a tip if you ever go there, they have way more on their menu than just crab. Oh and if you’re not into spicy food, avoid anything that says cajun in it. Holy crap they had to almost call the fire department because my mouth had flames coming out after trying a scallop with cajun spices on it!

We finally decided to head back to the hotel to work on a few ideas and send out an email. But it was a sunny day, really nice out and I wanted to work on my tan since the Texas seemed to steal all the rays from us up in Washington state. So we headed up to the roof of the hotel and sat pool side overlooking all of San Antonio. That was really cool and while I was sitting their, I checked my email and guess what came in. That’s right, commission notifications from last night, while I was sleeping and throughout that day. :-)

Internet Lifestyle, Is It All That It Is Cracked Up To Be?

If you want to know if an Internet Lifestyle all it’s cracked up to be, keep reading because I’m going to share a little story with you.

I woke up today at about 10:30am after being up half the night watching movies and working on a few ideas. Not too mention that it was a pretty lazy day and I took 4 naps because I have been burning the candle pretty hard, LOL. Some of the perks of an internet lifestyle. The first thing I did was check my email and sure enough I just made $250 while I was sleeping.

Now, truth be told, at the time of this article, I am not currently living as a full-time internet entrepreneur. When I’m talking about living an internet lifestyle, it’s based on what I experienced today and I could experience it everyday if I really wanted to. I’ll explain what I mean in a minute. But first let me tell you about the rest of the story.

As I was saying, I woke up to emails notifying me that I made more $250 while I was sleeping. Another email was from a partner of mine who cut a video and wanted me to review it. I checked it out, loved it, so I sent it to my team in an email that took me 5 minutes to write up along with a reminder of a deadline with a current promotion that I’m running right now.

An Internet Lifestyle Can Be Hectic At Times… Sooooo,

I got myself a personal assistant to support this internet lifestyle to take care of some of the tasks that don’t require a lot of my presence. I emailed a list of people I wanted them to contact for me to see who meets my qualifications to speak with for 20 minutes. One hour later, I get out of the shower and see a text message saying that they completed the phone calls I requested and I now have a new member to my team along with a few appointments for people who meet my qualifications.

I check on a few current ads I have running to see how the numbers are and if I should do some tweaking. I glance at a few websites I might want to connect with for further advertising and look at a few ideas I had for some articles to write. Since I’ve been burning the candle lately, I decided to take a nap after eating a bowl of cereal.

I wake up from my nap, check my email and I had another signup. My first thought… I need to sleep more since I seem to be making most of my money then, LOL. But of course that wasn’t true, I’ve had commissions come in during all hours of the day. While I’m watching a movie, talking with one of my buddies on the phone and my favorite on was making more than $1,600 one afternoon while having a picnic with my daughter.

But seriously, I do work. Having an internet lifestyle is more than just eating and sleeping. I have several partners with skills beyond mine who help me put together different projects. One of them was a team site that took a long time to develop and constantly requires updates so my team is kept in the loop on everything I’m doing. I write articles, test advertising for my team, test email conversions, cut tons of videos, and record half of my life experiences and use them in my marketing.

internet lifestyleAn example of this kind of internet lifestyle and life experience marketing, I just paid cash for a Mercedes last month. So I did what any smart internet entrepreneur would do. I promoted it, LOL. I built a promotion around the entire experience, sent people email updates on the fact that I was flying out in the morning to pick it up and drive it back from Portland, Oregon and made almost $6,800 by the end of the month.

It took me a few days to put it together, but then after that the sales just came in. The sales didn’t come in just for me either. When I do promotions I include coded pages so my entire team can use them as well.

So back to the story of how my ‘internet lifestyle’ day went today. I needed to return a few movies I rented last night so I decided I may want to rent another one. What can I say, I like movies and it’s a way for me to disappear and escape from my mind. See some people it’s taking a walk or something like that. Sure I like getting outside but walking has just never been my thing. I’d rather be camping or sitting at the beach if I’m going to be outside.

I found a movie that looked pretty good so I reserved it and took my Mercedes out for a fun time running around town. I bought some hair stuff so my head doesn’t look like a cotton swab, also bought a new wallet since mine is thrashed. Then I headed home after picking up some dinner so I didn’t have to cook.

Now I’m writing this blog post to share what it is like to live an internet lifestyle. Now I said in the beginning that I don’t do this full time. The truth is that I also have a career outside of my internet business. I actually attempted to quit since I’m now making nearly twice as much as I make there. But unfortunately, my employer really needs me to stay on since it’s a 2 person operation and I make a lot of the stuff happen.

Now some might say, Scott, you should use that as leverage and take advantage of that and then go live your internet lifestyle. I’ve actually had more than one person say that to me. Well, here’s the deal, I’m not that greedy and he’s a great guy. He gave me an opportunity 10 years ago when nobody else would. Even though I don’t owe him anything and could just simply walk out and live my internet lifestyle, I’m not built like that. I care about other people’s successful ventures as much my own. So, until he can find a suitable replacement for me, I’ll stay on with him.

I think this story pretty much sums up the answer for you. Is an internet lifestyle all it’s cracked up to be? I can say from experience that is most definitely is. However, it doesn’t happen over night and you can’t approach it with a lottery ticket mentality. There are no guarantees and you get out of it what you put into it. Sure I went on and on about the perks, but you didn’t see the struggles I went through to get there.

There are times when I will work harder than anyone else I know. In fact there was one specific time I remembered that I didn’t sleep for 36 hours straight because of an idea I had and I wanted to get it done now. Of course that wouldn’t have been necessary if I didn’t have to factor in my occupation out side of my internet business.

how to make passive incomeNow, there are many different methods to create an internet lifestyle and I’ve tried several of them out there. The only one that I can recommend to anyone who is wanting to attain this lifestyle with the least amount of skills you have to learn is the same one that allowed me to accomplish this.
