Focus On Where You Want To Go, Not What You’re Afraid Of…
This is a great metaphor for some of the spins or problems we have in life. Whether it’s a problem with a business, with our personal relationships, if we’re depressed or if things just aren’t going the way we hoped. We all get into these problems that cause us to get into a spin in our lives.
Well he said “You have to focus on WHERE YOU WANT TO GO rather than the danger that is coming or what you fear.”
Now if you’re in a race car that’s driving 120 miles per hour that suddenly slides out of control and the only thing stopping you is a solid concrete wall, your first instinct is to watch the wall (your problem) as you run into it.
That’s just your natural instinct… To stare at the wall (your problem) as you come closer and closer to crashing into it.
The only way to avoid hitting it is to change your focus and look in the direction you want the car to go.
Well I reached a point in my life a few years ago when I focused on all my problems for so long that I wound up flat broke with $25 left in my bank account. I had a job as a graphic designer that I hated for nearly 12 years that just didn’t cover all the bills that stacked up.
I tried and failed in different home businesses to make more money and I never did. I drove a 1993 Toyota Celica All Trac that constantly had problems that needed to be fixed just to run. The only blessing at that time was my 3 month old daughter. Which of course brought on new challenges… providing what she needed.
So I had a choice… I could continue down that path and stare at all the problems that existed in my life. Or I could make a decision to take action and force my head to look in the direction I wanted the car to go and change our future.
I was fortunate to find a mentor on the internet who showed me what I needed to do to change everything. Kind of like Tony had in the race car when his friend pushed his head to the side. My mentor gave me a blueprint… a formula to follow and advice along the way when I needed it.
He was just straight forward with me and told me what I needed to hear versus what I wanted to hear.
Today I’m proud to say that my vision of living a better life has become my reality. In October of 2013, I retired from my corporate job.
I changed the direction my car was driving by focusing on where I wanted to go and now I’m retired living a life of complete freedom in my mid 30s.
Let me show you what I learned to change my life. I struggled for far too long not to share this information with people who are open to receive it. I will show exactly what I learned to “break free from the matrix” and live a life of freedom..
